From the Rhineland and Palatinate of Germany came great migrations of settlers to Pennsylvania in the 18th century. Because they retained their customs, speech and developed beautiful and bountiful farms, the Pennsylvania Dutch country is one of the state's greatest tourist attractions. There are all degrees of conservatism among the descendants of German immigrants and they all share tremendous vigor, family devotion, love of the Bible and a belief in thrift and hard work. You tour will take you through the heart of Amish Country as you're immersed in their simplistic lifestyle with an up close look at their daily lives. Step back in time and join friends and family on this charming and scrumptious tour that celebrates the simpler pleasures in life!  NEW for 2024 all passengers will receive a genuine lucky horseshoe straight from the Amish Farmlands!

Upon arrival we'll head over to Kitchen Kettle Village where there will be free time for shopping and browsing There are 40 shops jammed full of Lancaster's simple pleasures; be sure to stop by the Jam & Relish Kitchen to see Amish ladies in action as they make pickles, relishes, jams & jellies, right in the store kitchen! There are plenty of samples to try and there’s no doubt you will come away with at least a jar or two of Amish delights! After our shopping stop, we will continue on to our accommodations at Country Inn of Lancaster (717-393-3413). You will have time to relax and freshen up after check in.
