We travel north into Canada and settle in for three nights in the heart of Old Quebec at Hotel Manoir Victoria (418-692-1030). Ideally located within walking distance of Old Quebec’s major attractions, the hotel is just steps from Grande Allée, Musée de la Civilisation, Place D’Youville, the Plains of Abraham, and the charming Petit-Champlain district, among many others. The surrounding neighborhood is filled with wonderful restaurants, offering a chance to experience Quebec City’s renowned culinary scene and local gourmet specialties. All guest rooms feature hair dryers and complimentary Wi-Fi, and the hotel also boasts a beautiful heated outdoor swimming pool.Dinner this evening is included at Dorsay’s Pub Restaurant . All entrées are served with soup or salad, dessert, and a beverage, entree choices TBA.
Mon., September 14:
A full American breakfast is included each morning at the hotel. Enjoy a 3-hour guided tour of this vibrant city, rich in fascinating history and distinctive provincial French charm. Relax as you drive through the only walled city north of Mexico—an extraordinary landmark that earned UNESCO World Heritage status. Highlights of the tour include Château Frontenac, Place Royale, the Port of Québec, Parliament, and Notre-Dame Basilica. Please note that approximately 50 minutes of the tour involves walking, as some streets in Old Québec are too narrow for the coach. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Following the tour, you will have free time to explore Old Québec at your own pace for the remainder of the day. Lunch and dinner will be on your own.
Tue September 15:
After enjoying a full breakfast at the hotel this morning, we will depart on a fascinating four-hour St. Anne de Beaupré Tour, featuring several intriguing stops throughout the city and surrounding countryside. You will have free time to explore the world-famous Shrine of St. Anne de Beaupré, a revered pilgrimage site known for its many reported miracles. Our journey continues with a visit to the Copper Studio, where we will be introduced to the art of copper repoussé and have the opportunity to view some truly remarkable handcrafted pieces. Lunch is included today at Auberge La Goéliche, beautifully situated on the Île d’Orléans. Entrée choices include: Chicken breast with mustard sauce, served with starch and vegetables or Filet of trout on a corn and carrot chowder. Lunch also includes soup of the day, dessert, and coffee or tea. (Entrée selections will be made when seated.) Before or after lunch, we will stop to admire the breathtaking Montmorency Falls, the first waterfall to be harnessed for hydro-electric power and standing an impressive one-and-a-half times taller than Niagara Falls. Following our tour, we will return to the hotel, where the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

A full breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. You will then have free time for a bit more exploring before we depart for home. We’ll depart Quebec at 11am filled with fond memories of beautiful Quebec City. Our approximate arrival in the Capital District is 7pm. Two stops each way.
