Sunday, July 5:

This morning we depart for Cleveland, Ohio and the famous home used in the Christmas classic, A Christmas Story, now restored to its movie splendor. Directly across the street from the house is the Museum, which features original props, costumes and memorabilia from the film, as well as hundreds of rare behind-the-scenes photos. Among the props and costumes are the toys from the Higbee’s window, Randy’s snowsuit, the chalkboard from Miss Shields’ classroom and the family car. After reliving the movie at Ralphie’s house don’t forget to visit the museum gift shop for your own Major Award Leg Lamp and other great movie memorabilia. Following our visit we will check into our hotel, the Drury Inn & Suites Cleveland Beachwood (216-292-9980) featuring an indoor pool and whirlpool and each room has a microwave, refrigerator, iron/ironing board and hair dryer. Enjoy dinner (included) at the Drury’s Kickback featuring items such as BBQ Sliders, Mac & Cheese, Hot Dogs, chicken noodle soup, salad, coleslaw and more (menu subject to change).

Monday, July 6:

A full breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Discover the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and dive into the world of legendary artists, groundbreaking music, and the cultural impact of rock and roll. See artifacts from music legends and current stars - including Michael Jackson's jacket from Thriller, handwritten lyrics from The Beatles, Taylor Swift's piano from the cardigan music video, and so much more. Sing along with the house band in The Garage, watch performances from past Induction ceremonies at the Power of Rock, and vote for who YOU think should be inducted at Voice Your Choice. Join us to learn more about the music that connects us all. Lunch will be on your own at the “All Access Cafe” at the Hall during your visit. After our tour we will embark on a two-hour narrated sightseeing cruise on the Goodtime III along the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie providing spectacular views of downtown Cleveland, the Flats, and all of the surrounding areas. Enjoy the quickly changing panorama of Cleveland’s skyline and listen to the narrator point out many sights and little-known historical facts about this All-American city. We will return to the hotel following our cruise. The remainder of your evening is on your own. Enjoy the Drury Kickback for dinner OR dine on your own at the BJ’s Brewhouse or Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant both across the parking lot from the hotel. There are also many other eateries and shops in the Pinewood Plaza across the street.

Tuesday, July 7:

A full breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Today we will travel to Canton, Ohio to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an exhilarating museum and attraction, where professional football is honored, preserved, promoted and celebrated daily. Chronicled within the walls of the Hall of Fame are the stories and circumstances of play that pays tribute to football’s greatest. Lunch is available on your own in the cafe. The Hall of Fame continually enhances its exhibits and displays to provide guests with an immersive and experiential visit to “The Most Inspiring Place on Earth!” After our visit we will return to the hotel where dinner is included at the hotel featuring rotating items during the Drury Kickback.

Wednesday, July 8:

A full breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Enjoy a unique shopping experience on our way home at the Made in America Store, located in Elma, New York. All across America, visitors are traveling from hundreds and thousands of miles away to shop here because every item for sale in this store is 100% American made. Our expected arrival in the Capital District is approximately at 6pm. Rest stops will be made each way.
