Friday, June 20:
We will board the coach this morning and head toward Philadelphia, PA. A lunch stop will be made en route. Upon our arrival, we’ll go to the National Constitution Center. The Center, located on Independence Mall, is dedicated to increasing public understanding of the U.S. Constitution and its relevance to Americans’ daily lives. Lunch will be on your own in the food court at the center. This afternoon, we will view “Freedom Rising,” which is a state-of-the-art multimedia theater experience dedicated to connecting visitors with the story of the U.S. Constitution - sure to be an unforgettable experience. Our accommodations at the Courtyard Marriott Philadelphia City Avenue (215-220-6426) which features an indoor pool. You will have time on your own to relax and freshen up after check-in. Later we’ll depart for Citizens Bank Park for the 7:15pm Mets vs. Phillies game. Seating is Baseline Section TBA. Please Note: Tickets for the game are Mobile Entry and you must have a smart phone with the MLB Ballpark App in order to get into the game. You will be on your own for dinner at the ballpark. We will return to the hotel after the game ends.
Saturday, June 21:
A full breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Today you may spend the day on your own, or join a local guide for an optional 3-hour tour of Philly (+$45pp). Highlights will include the Liberty Bell, Betsey Ross House, Congress Hall, Franklin Court, Carpenter's Hall, and Christ Church. On the tour, lunch is included at Philly’s Gourmet Steaks. Following lunch, we will return to the hotel where you will be on your own to relax before the game. Later we’ll depart for Citizens Bank Park for the 7:15pm Mets vs. Phillies game. Seating is Baseline Section TBA. You will be on your own for dinner at the ballpark. We will return to the hotel after the game ends.
Sunday, June 22:
A full breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. A local guide will join us on a 90-minute drive though the city. We'll drive along the Ben Franklin Parkway, see Rocky’s Steps, and pass by the magnificent buildings, including Philadelphia's City Hall, the largest in the country, with a 36-foot bronze statue of William Penn on top. We will also drive though Antique Row and Society Hill. After our tour, we will enjoy free time for lunch and shopping in Head House Square (the South Street area). We will leave the area at 2:00pm, with an approximate arrival in the Capital District at 8:00pm. One stop each way.
