Welcome to MASSACHUSETTS, the Bay State and the sandy shores of CAPE COD. Extending some 70 miles into the sea, the Cape is home to both natural beauty and quaint colonial villages. You can walk pristine beaches, revel in the arts and culture, and reclaim childhood memories of seashells, sandcastles, and saltwater taffy. Nantucket, a tiny, isolated island off Cape Cod, is a summer destination with dune-backed beaches. Its marked by unpainted cedar-shingled buildings, many surrounded by manicured privets. The wharves and cobblestoned streets of the Town of Nantucket are lined with restaurants, high-end boutiques and steepled churches. Martha's Vineyard sits in the Atlantic just south of Cape Cod. A longtime New England summer colony, it encompasses harbor towns and lighthouses, sandy beaches and farmland. It's accessible only by boat or air. Vineyard Haven, on the eastern end, is a ferry port and the island's commercial center. Oak Bluffs has Carpenter Gothic cottages and an iconic carousel. Explore both islands, Sandwich, and Newport, RI on this classic Yankee Trails tour; a customer favorite every year!
