We will board the coach this morning and begin our journey to Hershey, Pennsylvania. Upon our arrival in Pennsylvania, we will visit Hershey’s Chocolate World for a simulated tour of the HERSHEY Chocolate Factory, where you'll learn the fascinating secrets of chocolate making. This wonderful journey ends on a sweet note with a delicious free sample of HERSHEY'S chocolate. After the tour you'll get to Make Your Own Candy Bar which will be quite the delicious activity, and a great souvenir of your trip. Next we will continue on to our accommodations at the Hershey Lodge (717-533-3311). This hotel features four on-site restaurants and indoor pool & waterpark, Hershey’s waterworks. Dinner will be on your own this evening at one of the many dining options at the hotel. After dinner we will head out for a drive through Hershey Park’s Sweet Lights display. More than 5 million twinkling lights deck the halls of Hersheypark® in celebration of the season! The rest of the evening will be on your own at the hotel.
Mon., December 2:
Enjoy breakfast (voucher included) at the hotel this morning. Today we will begin with a visit to the Christmas Tree Showcase at Hershey Gardens. Experience trees that are uniquely decorated by local florists, as well as the signature poinsettia tree. The Welcome Pavilion and Butterfly Atrium will be decorated for the holidays, too! Next, we will visit the Hershey Story Museum. Here, your experience takes visitors on a journey through the life of Milton Hershey, his chocolate company, his generous philanthropic legacy and the town of Hershey, PA. Engaging museum exhibits explore Mr. Hershey’s early failures, how he successfully revolutionized the process of making milk chocolate, and how the orphan boys of the Hershey Industrial School became heirs to his fortune.This attraction is also an interactive experience perfect for kids. The Apprentice Program and “I Spy” activity are special ways we present the Hershey Story to younger visitors, allowing them to guide themselves along a “scavenger hunt-style” exploration of the museum exhibits. You will have time for lunch on your own at the cafe at the museum. We will depart at 2pm with an approximate arrival in the Capital District at 8pm. One stop each way
