Today we will visit Ben & Jerry’s very first factory in Waterbury, VT.  Built in 1985, it continues to manufacture upwards of 350,000 pints per day while offering fans a sneak peek at their humble beginnings. Their small Scoop shop, retail area and tour route have remained fairly unchanged over the years.  Guided tours, which began in 1986, have allowed them to share with millions of guests the evolution of what started as a small local company from the early days in the gas station to the worldwide reach they have now.  Enjoy time with family and friends learning how they make their ice cream all the while taking in the beautiful mountain views!  Please Note:  Production schedules vary and are managed by their manufacturing teams. As a result, we cannot guarantee you will see active production during your tour.  On our way to the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory we will enjoy a boxed lunch from DiBella's Subs including a 7" sub, potato chips and cookie.  Your choices are: 1)Turkey, 2)Ham, 3)Veggie or 4)Kids Meal (kids size classic sub, cookie, applesauce and juice box).  At the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory in Shelburne, VT, all visitors enter the building through the Bear Shop, which features Bears, Vermont-made products, and an area where you can create your own Bear. Enjoy a tour of our factory, with one of their Bear Ambassadors who will guide you through a fun, informative tour where you’ll watch a small group of craftspeople creating Bears by hand, one-by-one. You’ll even see the Bear Hospital, where you'll get to meet the Bear Doctor, Dr. Pam. If your Bear ever needs repair, Dr. Pam will take care of everything. 

An 8% admin fee will be added to this tour at the time of booking. This fee covers various operational costs, including record-keeping, customer support, and maintaining the web site that offers you the convenience to book tours 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
