Fri, February 21:

Hop aboard the coach with new friends and old, and roll out for sunny St. Pete Beach, Florida on this spectacular getaway. We will travel south to our first
night’s accommodations at the Comfort Suites Fredericksburg South (540-891-1112) in beautiful Fredericksburg, Virginia. Dinner will be on your own this evening.

Sat, February 22:

A continental breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. We will then continue southbound, and into warmer weather to our accommodations at the Hampton Inn-Savannah Gateway (912-921-5300) in Savannah, GA. Dinner will be on your own this evening.

Sun, February 23:

A Hampton Inn lobby breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. The Florida state line is just ahead of us and today we check into our accommodations for the next twelve days at the Dolphin Beach Resort & Conference Center (727-360-7011)! Experience Florida’s Natural Beauty when you visit this hotel in St. Pete Beach, located directly on the water! Find sparkling blue water, white sandy beaches, and beautiful sunshine year-round. The Dolphin Beach Resort offers everything under the sun to make your vacation one to remember. You have your choice of a Standard, Poolside or Gulf Front room. Standard rooms are not poolside or gulf front, Poolside rooms have patios, balconies or picture windows. Gulf Front rooms have balconies or patios and are waterfront. All standard and poolside rooms have 2 double beds; all Gulf front rooms have 2 queen beds. All rooms offer a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and free movie channels. The property includes gulf front Boca Sands Grill restaurant, Lobby Lounge, Flippers Beach Bar, patio dining, laundry facilities, beach cabana rentals, a trolley directly in front of the hotel that runs all the way to Clearwater as well as restaurants, pharmacy and a grocery store across the street. Today you are free to relax, settle in and explore St. Pete at your own pace. For first timers it’s your opportunity to orient yourself with the area while our veteran travelers take this day to relax by the sea. You will spend each day on your own or enjoying one of the offered options. Dinner is on your own.

Tue, February 25:

This morning we will depart for a wild adventure at Option A: Giraffe Ranch & Lunch on Limoges in Dade City, FL. At Giraffe Ranch you'll experience first hand, the lives of giraffe and other species from around the world living under huge live oaks and open grasslands in a setting that is right out of Africa. They are a licensed working ranch that specializes in exotic species as well as domestic cattle. Learn about exotic animals from an expert guide from the comfort of specially designed 4-wheel drive vehicles. Each customized safari truck is equipped with stadium seating, and a full-coverage canvas shade for year round comfort. You'll be conducted through pristine live oak hammocks and ephemeral wetlands in comfort and safety where you'll get spectacular close-up encounters with giraffe, ostrich, bongo antelope, Grant’s zebra, blackbuck antelope, axis deer, warthog, red river hog, Père David's deer, pygmy hippopotamus, Indian rhinoceros, Brazilian tapir, scimitar-horned oryx, and more unique and endangered species in large herds. Take part in real hands-on interactions with many species! Following our wild encounter we will depart for lunch included at Lunch on Limoges also in Dade City, FL. Menu TBA. We will return to the hotel after lunch for some free time before heading to Option 1: Dinner at P.J’s Oyster Bar a popular location in town serving up fresh local seafood every day. Menu TBA. Following dinner we will return to the hotel for the rest of the evening.

Wed, February 26:

This morning you will have some free time to relax and enjoy the property before departing this afternoon for Option B: Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach, FL. The Manatee Viewing Center located at and within Big Bend Power Station that delivers electricity to the area of Apollo Beach. One day manatees started showing up in the station’s discharge canal and never left. Today they are a state and federally designated manatee sanctuary that provides critical protection from the cold for these unique, gentle animals. Inside the MVC's environmental education building, colorful displays immerse you in the world of the manatee and its habitat. Others show how Big Bend Power Station generates electricity for the community in an environmentally responsible way. See some of the power station's beneficially reusable byproducts. Outside, stroll among award-winning butterfly gardens and Florida-friendly landscaping. You also can see a variety of native and coastal plant life as you stroll along the center's tidal walk. After our visit with these magnificent animals we will continue on to Cypress Village Plaza for some shopping at the ever popular Beall’s Department Store followed by dinner at Option 2: Old Castle Restaurant. Old Castle Restaurant has been providing locals and tourists with a taste of the Old World in Berlin, Germany since 1999. Menu TBA. Those not selecting Option B or 2 will be on their own for dinner tonight.

Thur, February 27:

Today our travels will take us to Option C: The Strawberry Festival in Plant City, FL. This is Florida’s most popular festival featuring, as the name suggests, all things strawberry! View exhibits, competitions, livestock shows, arts and crafts vendors and free entertainers. Once you’ve had all the strawberries you can handle we will return to the hotel before departing for dinner tonight at Option 3: Longhorn Steakhouse. Menu TBA. After dinner we will return back to the hotel and you will be on your own for the rest of the night.

Fri, February 28:

This morning get ready to bring out your inner thrill seeker and adventurer as we travel to Option D: Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL. Your options for rides, theaters, restaurants, shops and animal exhibits are endless in this massive theme park. Take a ride on a roller coaster, travel to the Serengeti on their safari ride, and take in incredible shows all in one place! Also home to one of the largest zoos in North America featuring more than 300 species! After everyone has had their fill of thrills we will return to the hotel. Dinner will be on your own tonight.

Sat, February 29:

Today we are departing for the Red Barn Flea Market in Breadenton, FL. Owned and operated by the same family since 1981, the Red Barn in Bradenton, FL, combines a traditional flea market, plaza shops, food courts and open-air farmers markets in a 145,000 sq.ft area. Enjoy 80,000 sq. ft. of air conditioned indoor shopping, fresh produce, entertainment and a variety of prepared foods. Embark on a treasure hunt through more than 600 flea market booths and shops. You’ll always find something new at the Red Barn! After a day full of treasure hunting we will head back to the hotel for time on your own before enjoying a delicious Sub/Salad Supper, included, on property tonight.

Sun, March 1:

Enjoy some free time early on today before heading out to Option E: Show Palace Theater for “Million Dollar Quartet”. Upon arrival enjoy a delicious buffet lunch followed by their wonderful performance of Million Dollar Quartet.The Tony® Award Winning musical, Million Dollar Quartet is set on December 4, 1956, when an extraordinary twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley together at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever. Million Dollar Quartet brings that legendary December night to life with an irresistible tale of broken promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations that is both poignant and funny. Relive the era with the smash-hit sensation featuring an incredible score of rock ‘n’ roll, gospel, R&B and country hits, performed live onstage by world-class actors and musicians. Showcased hit songs include: Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, Walk the Line, Sixteen Tons, Who Do You Love?, Great Balls of Fire, Folsom Prison Blues, Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On, Hound Dog, and more! Mon, March 2:

Today we will head to Option F: The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature in Bradenton, FL. As the largest natural and cultural history museum on Florida's Gulf Coast, The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature offers engaging exhibits as well as educational programs that interpret the scientific and cultural knowledge of Florida, the world, and our universe. In addition to permanent exhibits,including the all-digital planetarium and the Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat. the Museum features a constantly changing lineup of temporary exhibitions. Following our day of history and culture, we will return to the hotel before dinner tonight at Option 6: PoFolks Restaurant since 1975, PoFolks has been servin' up Hearty, Homestyle Cooking! Their food is craved by folks all shapes an' sizes, an’ they have a HUGE menu selection! From appetizers to salads; sandwiches to dee-serts; seafood to steaks. After dinner we will return to the hotel and you are on your own for the evening.

Tues, March 3:

This morning you may choose Option G: John’s Pass. Located on the waterfront at John’s Pass, this quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is Pinellas County’s #1 tourist attraction. Over one hundred merchants inhabit
the Village offering unique retail shopping (a perfect opportunity for souvenirs), a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours,
boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. We will return to the hotel following our trip to John’s Pass before dinner at Option 5: A StarLite Sapphire Dinner Cruise. Ready for a dazzling dinner and night out? StarLite offers a fine dining experience, entertainment and dancing with some of the best waterfront views in all of the Gulf Beaches from brilliant vistas to starlit evenings, every StarLite cruise is special. Their dining service includes a full, restaurant-style menu featuring continental cuisine prepared fresh on board. Entertainment is a mix of live selections and a wide variety of recorded songs to satisfy any musical request. Full bar and your own server ensure your enjoyment. Following our dinner cruise we will return to the hotel for the rest of the evening.

Wed, March 4:

Today Option H: is a Yankees Spring Training Baseball Game they are playing the Philadelphia Philies at 6:35pm. Our tickets are in Section 216, Rows F & G, and seats 13-18 in both rows.

Thurs, March 5:

Today you are free to relax and explore your last night in St. Pete at your own pace. Later on this evening we will enjoy a sunset pizza party (included) at a beachfront cabana right on property. Following dinner you will be on your own for the rest of the evening.

Fri, March 6:

We’ll leave Florida and start heading north today to the Hampton Inn-Savannah Gateway (912-921-5300) in Savannah, GA. Dinner will be on your own this evening. We kindly request that passenger’s pack an overnight bag for the next two nights, as the larger baggage will not be removed from the coach.

Sat, March 7:

A Hampton Inn lobby breakfast is included at the hotel this morning and then we will continue our journey north to tonight’s accommodations at the Comfort Suites Fredericksburg South (540-891-1112) in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Dinner will be on your own this evening.

Sun, March 8:

A continental breakfast is included this morning before we leave. We will make lunch and rest stops enroute, with an approximate arrival time in the Capital District at 6pm.
