Branson is a vacation destination and its 76 Country Boulevard is just lined with theaters and live shows that make you feel just darn ole good. Entertainers waiting for you on this trip include a performance at the Lawrence Welk Resort Theater, Million Dollar Quartet, Shoji Tabuchi, Clay Cooper (one of the best, you never heard of, entertainers alive!), the Presley Country Jubilee, performers on the Branson Belle and Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers!! However, one of the best parts of Branson is the Ozark Mountains, and we have planned an adventure to one of its most beautiful and nurturing places, Dogwood Canyon Nature Park, a customer favorite. Sunday, October 20
Today our motor coach will take us from our terminal in Rensselaer, NY to Akron, Ohio and our overnight accommodations at the Holiday Inn, West Akron, (330-666-4131). Dinner this evening will be included at the Spaghetti Warehouse; meal choices are: Spaghetti Feast, Lasagna Platter, Chicken Parmigiana, or Grilled Chicken Alfredo Fettuccini with salad, dessert, coffee, soft drinks. We will return to the hotel following dinner.
Monday, October 21
Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning prior to our departure for our overnight accommodations at the Drury Inn Collinsville, IL (618-345-7700). Our Drury Inn stays include their famous “KickBack Happy Hour” that includes an assortment of “nosh” food that usually suffices for most folks for their supper needs. For those who would want more, a Ruby Tuesday is available on property.
Tuesday, October 22
A Drury Inn lobby breakfast is included. We then depart, crossing the Mississippi River and making a photo stop at the St Louis Arch, before continuing on to today’s included lunch destination, the famous “roll throwing” Lambert’s Restaurant. The variety of food offerings will amaze you! Following lunch we will continue on to the Welk Resort Hotel , in Branson, MO (417-336-3575) for our four night stay. A buffet dinner is included this evening at the Stage Door Canteen before attending an evening performance of “Million Dollar Quartet” in the resort showroom!
A full breakfast buffet is included at our resort’s Stage Door Canteen each morning. Then we will be joined by a step on guide and head for Old Town Branson with time on our own for lunch, before continuing our tour including College of the Ozarks, Table Rock Dam, the Trout Hatchery and more. After our tour we will visit Branson’s most celebrated entertainer, Mr. Shoji Tabuchi as he presents his Christmas Show (an early holiday treat for us) at the Shoji Tabuchi Theater. Dinner is included this evening at Charlie’s Steak & Ribs. Our evening is full of robust country entertainment as Clay Cooper presents his variety show that includes singing, dancing, comedy, rope twirling and trickery and just plain wonderful good ole fun! Following the show we will return to the resort.
Thursday, October 24
You will have time to sleep in before breakfast this morning. Then wwe are off for Dogwood Canyon and a Wildlife Tram Tour with an included picnic lunch. Dogwood Canyon displays the beauty of the Ozarks at its very best! The landscape has been left untouched leaving you able to imagine a time when European settlers first arrived or even further back to the mark American Indians left on these Missouri hills and hollows. Branson has entertainment, but it also has beautiful country. Our picnic lunch will be a choice of a ham and cheddar sandwich or roasted turkey with swiss sandwich served with pasta salad, chips, cookie and iced tea or water. We will return to our resort to freshen up before our departure for McFarlain’s Restaurant for dinner (included) followed by a Branson institution, The Presley Country Jubilee! This show is hilarious fun with laughs galore! Your enjoyment is assured!! We will return to the resort following the show.
Friday, October 25
A full breakfast buffet is included at the Stage Door Canteen this morning. Today we are off to the Down Home Country Show featuring the best of Classic Country, Western Swing and Gospel music. This show brings to life music you will never forget! It is the music that made you fall in love with Country! You will love the variety of singing, side-splitting comedy, powerful gospel, barn-burning bluegrass and down-home fun! Following this morning’s show, we’ll stop at Papa Grand’s Pizza, for a pizza buffet lunch before returning to the Resort for rest and relaxation. Later this afternoon we will depart for our dinner cruise on the Showboat Branson Belle whose entertainment is always phenomenal!! Wait, the day isn’t over yet, we continue on to see Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, live! “All The Gold in California”, isn’t stopping us now! This performance is sure to conclude our “Branson Entertainment Visit” on a very high note! We know you are ready for some rest! And we are ready to return you to the Resort following this show!
Saturday, October 26
A full breakfast buffet is included at the Stage Door Canteen this morning. Alas, our time in Branson has come to a close, we leave the Lawrence Welk Resort with fond memories and begin our journey northeast. Our accommodations this evening are in Greenfield, IN at the Holiday Inn Express, 321 Barrett Dr, (317-318-9859). Dinner is on your own this evening at the Cracker Barrel adjacent to the hotel
Sunday, October 27
A hotel lobby breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. Then we are off for a final bit of entertainment in Canton, Ohio where we will stop for a visit at the Football Hall of Fame Opened in 1963, the Hall of Fame features exceptional figures in the sport of professional football, including players, coaches, franchise owners, and front-office personnel who have made contributions to the game of football. Following our visit, we will continue on to Mentor, OH and our overnight accommodations at the Holiday Inn, 7701 Reynolds Rd, Mentor (440-951-7333). Our Farewell Dinner this evening is included at the hotel.
Monday, October 28
Following our included breakfast this morning, our last day brings us back through Pennsylvania into New York State across the New York Thruway to the Capitol District. Our amazing journey, full of endless entertainment and beauty, concludes today with new memories made that will last a lifetime!
