Wilkum! You're among friends in Lancaster County...the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. There is more than one reason to visit, more than one great attraction, more surprises down scenic byways, and more ways to have a great time. A healthy helping of what makes this area unique stems from the charms of the Amish. In the Amish communities, horse-drawn buggies clippety-clap down country roads; children play outside one-room schoolhouses; and a stop at a roadside stand is an experience. When you mix the old and the new, the past with the present, the end result is always "fun. Celebrate the holidays this year with a special tour to Amish Country where simple joys and pleasures are yours for the taking!

Fri., December 5:
Did you know that Lancaster, PA was once the capital of the United States, or that the magnificent, wooden beamed barns of Amish country were constructed in just one day? Upon arrival we will check into our accommodations at The Country Inn of Lancaster (717-393-3413), which offers a delightful "home away from home" atmosphere, as well as an indoor pool. Tonight we will savor dinner in an Amish home with Rebecca and her family. After dinner we’re off to the Sight & Sound Millennium Theatre to see the show, Noah. With a catastrophic storm on its way, Noah is given a monumental task: build a boat big enough to save his family from a flood that will cover the entire earth. As Noah endeavors to live faithfully in the midst of an increasingly chaotic world, can he trust that God’s promises run deeper than the rising waters around him? Returning for one season only, this landmark production takes you on board one of the world’s best-known voyages as live animals fill the stage and aisles. Set sail inside the enormous ark as this extraordinary story comes to life in this special 30th anniversary season! Enjoy floor seating for this epic 2 ½ hour show with a 20 minute intermission.
Sat., December 6:
A full breakfast is included at the hotel this morning before we depart to the American Music Theatre to see their 2025 Christmas Show: Deck the Halls. Check in at the decked-out St. Nicholas Hotel where we find our dashing dancers and merry musicians ready to “Deck the Halls!” Bubbly bellhops and glittery guests make merriment in preparation for a visit from Old Saint Nick. This musical holiday adventure brings together friends old and new to celebrate the season with awe-inspiring performances designed to capture the hearts of the entire family. After the show we will savor a bountiful lunch at Miller's Smorgasbord, and then will leave the area at 3pm, with an approximate arrival in the Capital District at 10pm. One stop each way.
