Monday, August 1:

A buffet breakfast is included at the resort this morning before we set out for the Mount Washington Cog Railway. This was the first mountain-climbing cog railway in the world and is designated a National Historic Landmark. Offering both environmentally friendly biodiesel locomotives and vintage coal fired steam engines, the Mount Washington Cog Railway is a premier destination for visitors to the White Mountains Region of New Hampshire. Today we will sit back and relax as this marvel of 19th century technology and modern innovation takes us on an exhilarating voyage through mountain landscapes and nature. Beginning at Marshfield Base Station, the train climbs more than 6,000 feet to Mount Washington State Park. Here you will have time on your own to visit the gift shop, snack bar, the historic Tip Top House, the Mount Washington Observatory and Summit Museum. On a clear day you can see all the way to the Atlantic Ocean! Following our excursion we will savor lunch (included) at a local eatery TBD. Following our scenic day we will return to the hotel to relax and freshen up for our evening events. Dinner will be on your own this evening. Tonight we are off to look for moose! We will embark on a 3 - 3 ½ hour journey through the White Mountains for a guided tour and a search for the gentle giant of the north country. Enjoy an air conditioned vehicle, information about the local area, and historical sites along the way on Pemi Valley Moose Tours. They offer a 97% chance of at least one moose sighting, with a record of 25 moose in one night since 1999. We will return to the hotel following our tour and the rest of the evening is on your own.

Tuesday, August 2:
