Washington, D.C. is more than just the nation’s capital, it's home to more than 150 embassies, chancelleries, and diplomatic residences where colors, cultures and languages come together to create a unique, friendly, and diverse atmosphere. The city is divided into 4 sections and the Capitol is located in the very heart of the city. The cherry trees that surround the Tidal Basin were a gift from the people of Japan in 1912 and are an important part of Washington's heritage. The tradition of celebrating the arrival of spring in Washington began in 1935 when the trees blossomed, and this celebration became known as the National Cherry Blossom festival in 1941. Join us on our spring tour to DC and discover our nation’s capital during this special time of year.
