Saturday, June 3

We will board the coach this morning and head towards the heart of New England, the great state of Maine. We will make a stop at the NH State Liquor Store en route to our destination. Upon our arrival we'll visit Harold's in Old Orchard Beach where you will have time on your own for some souvenir shopping, followed by free time on your own for lunch in the area. We will then travel to our accommodations at the Normandie Motor Inn (207-934-2533) in Old Orchard Beach, ME. The Inn is just steps away from the beach and features an indoor pool. Upon our arrival we'll visit Harold's in Old Orchard Beach where you will have time on your own for some souvenir shopping, followed by free time on your own for lunch in the area. We will then travel to our accommodations at the Normandie Motor Inn (207-934-2533) in Old Orchard Beach, ME. The Inn is just steps away from the beach and features an indoor pool. Dinner is included tonight at Huot's Seafood Restaurant. Meal choices TBA. After dinner we will return to the hotel and your evening will be free.

Sunday, June 4

A full buffet breakfast will be included at the Seaside Grille in the hotel this morning. Then travel with us to Portland, Maine's largest city by the sea. Upon arrival we will meet our local step on guide for a narrated 2 hour tour. See views of Henry Wasdworth Longfellow's boyhood home, sea captain houses and an elegant Victorian Mansion as you drive through the historic neighborhoods overlooking the islands of Casco Bay. Following the tour you will be on your own for lunch and shopping in the harbor area of Portland. Later we will enjoy a narrated 90 minute Lighthouse Lover's cruise through the busy harbor and innermost islands to see lighthouses, forts, lobster boats, seals, and seabirds. Four lighthouses can be seen up close with as many as seven in view during the cruise, including a close-up view of Maine's oldest and most photographed lighthouse, Portland Head Light. We will return to the hotel later this afternoon and you will have free time to enjoy the beach and relax. Dinner tonight is at Dimillo's Floating Restaurant, a converted car ferry that originally ran between New Castle, Delaware, and Pennsville, New Jersey. Your meal choices are 1) Baked Stuffed Chicken Breast 2) Pecan Encrusted Haddock (stuffed w/butternut squash & cornbread stuffing & topped w/maple cream sauce) or 3) Scallops Casco Bay (baked with Ritz cracker and honey butter topping). Dinner also includes salad, New England clam chowder, blueberry cobbler for dessert. We will return to the hotel after dinner. After dinner we will then return to the hotel and the rest of your evening is free.

Monday, June 5

A full breakfast is included this morning at the Seaside Grille followed by free time to stroll on the beach and take pictures. Later this morning we're off to Ogunquit, ME, a small village that proves that nice things often come in small packages. Ogunquit offers views of beautiful white beaches and rocky coast. A quaint town designed for foot traffic, most of Ogunquit's shops, eateries, beaches and boardwalks are within a short walk from "downtown." You will have time on your own to explore Perkins Cove, the quaint village shops and take a stroll along the lovely Marginal Way which affords glorious views of the beach and ocean. We will leave at 3pm and continue to the Capital District with an approximate arrival at 8pm. One stop each way.
