Saturday, October 14

We will depart the Capital District for Salem’s Haunted Halloween Happenings! Upon arrival we will visit Gallows Hill: The Witchcraft and Ghost Experience (formerly The Witches Cottage). Real stories of witchcraft, ghosts, & the supernatural are brought to life during this 30 minute multi-media show. Dare you enter? You will then have free time for lunch and to explore Salem on your own. Then join us and visit the House of Seven Gables! Accompany us to Salem’s premier historic site located on the Harbor! Discover 359 years of Salem’s history as you experience this museum and collection of historic buildings. Our bus will bring us to the hotel later this afternoon, and we will check into our accommodations at the Holiday Inn Express in Peabody, MA (978-535-4608). If you would like to experience Salem at night with the rest of the ghouls, you may do so at your own pace, there will ample time for dinner and taking part in any number of Haunted Happenings The bus will return to the hotel at 10pm.

Sunday, October 15

A continental breakfast is included at the hotel this morning before we depart at 10 am for Salem. We will drop you off at Derby Square where this exciting marketplace is a collection of shops and boutiques. We then have a reservation for the Salem Witch Museum at 12 NOON, to learn about and explore the capture of the "witches" of Salem. The Salem Witch Museum brings you back to 1692 Salem. Experience the drama of history in life-size stage sets, figures, lighting and a stirring narration. Live guides take you through changing interpretations of witches, the truth behind the stereotypes, witchcraft practice today and the frightening phenomenon of witch hunting. After the tour, you will have free time on your own to experience Salem's Haunted Happenings where many events are taking place! Explore and visit everything you can. We will depart for home at 4 PM with an approximate arrival in the Capital District at 8 PM. One stop each way.
